Feeding Advice: Good-quality feeding hay and/or fresh grass should make up 85–90% of your young rabbit's diet and should be available at all times. Supplement this with a small portion of Junior & Dwarf Rabbit Nuggets, a small amount of suitable leafy greens and occasional appropriate treats.

Burgess recommends that rabbit nuggets make up approximately 5% of the daily diet. As a general guide, the Rabbit Welfare Association & Fund recommends around one egg-cup full of junior or dwarf rabbit nuggets, fed twice daily per rabbit.

Fresh, clean drinking water should always be available.

Young rabbits can begin eating these junior nuggets from 1 week of age. Burgess recommends transitioning young rabbits onto adult rabbit nuggets from around 16 weeks of age. Dwarf rabbits may remain on junior and dwarf nuggets for longer as they continue growing.

When changing your rabbit's food, make the transition gradually over 14–28 days by slowly reducing the previous food while increasing the amount of the new nuggets.

Always monitor your rabbit's weight and body condition. If you are unsure about your rabbit's individual nutritional requirements, consult your veterinarian.
