Family Pet Centre is proud to be the first in South Africa that offers an in-house Veterinary Clinic (meaning a Vet inside a Pet shop). Family Vet Clinic is a full-service, primary care animal clinic.
Family Vet offers three consulting rooms, both cats and dogs have their own dedicated consultation room. Furthermore, the veterinary clinic is fully equipped with the newest state of the art full digital radiology machine and ultrasound equipment. In-house blood chemistry and haematology testing are available. Finally, two fully equipped surgical theatres are at hand.
The kennel facilities have been specifically designed and built for our patients that have to be hospitalised. Many of the patients are day visitors, having to undergo general anaesthesia or procedures which requires close observation and care. A separate isolation unit offers the very sick animals a safe environment to protect themselves and other animals against dangerous viruses, infections or other transmitted diseases. Read more about the clinic here.
At Family Vet Clinic you’ll find people who love their pets and are dedicated to providing the same compassionate care for your animals that they would expect for their own. Read more about the Veterinary teams, here.
At Family Vet Clinic, a wide range of preventative care services are available, including vaccinations, nutritional counselling, wellness services, weight loss clinic, client education as well as geriatric consultation for our older patients. Exotic pets are also welcome.
Other services that are offered, include radiology (X-rays), ultrasound, surgery, and dentistry. The in-house laboratory offers haematology, blood chemistry, cytology, parasite diagnostics and endocrinology. Read more about the available services, here.
