With 31% beneficial fibre, prebiotics and antioxidants, these nuggets help support healthy digestion, skin and coat condition and a healthy immune system. They also contain protected vitamin C, which is essential for guinea pigs as they cannot produce their own vitamin C.

Feeding Advice: Good-quality feeding hay and/or fresh grass should make up the majority of your guinea pig's diet and should be available at all times. Burgess Excel Guinea Pig Nuggets should be fed as a small portion alongside hay or grass, with a small handful of suitable leafy greens each day and occasional suitable treats for variety.

Fresh, clean drinking water should always be available.

If your guinea pig is currently eating a muesli-style food, gradually transition to a hay and nugget-based feeding plan over 7–10 days, slowly reducing the old food while increasing the proportion of the new nuggets.
